Copthorne Effingham Gatwick - Mystery Airport Hotels

All good at this hotel although we did not eat there so can't comment about the food!

Excellent hotel and location for Gatwick airport. We left the car there while we were away. No problems at all

The Copthorne Effingham Hotel is our first choice when flying from Gatwick.

Easy to book, good hotel and parking

Hotel was a bit tired, but functional. You may get a good deal on overnight and parking, but they make up for it on food and drink prices. 2 coffees £7.95 , tasted vile, could not drink them. Advice, use the hotel and parking but find a nearby pub or similar for food and drink

Hotel is very tired and needs refurbishing but is ok for the money.

Very tired hotel, I have never seen a more threadbare carpet than the one in our bedroom! However, what more do you want than a comfortable bed and a good nights sleep before you travel and good value parking while you are away and this is just what we got. The shuttle and linked taxi service both worked well too.

Very comfortable room as given an upgrade. Very good nights sleep as bed comfortable and spacious. Unfortunately, I did not receive the wake up call I had booked when I arrived but had my trusty alarm clock which saved the day.

Was booked into Copthorne Effingham for the night before departure. Was only expecting a clean room with a reasonable bed and bathroom. What we got was fantastic: great big room, lovely big bed and very nice bathroom. It also had great value restaurant/bar meals. We would have been happy to spend a week at this hotel as could not fault it in any way, and the staff were very helpful and efficient. Will definitely use this hotel again. Well done.

Easy to find, loads of parking spaces, hotel and staff friendly and helpful, bus to terminal in the morning arrived when it said it would. On my return taxi arrived within moments of calling and my car was ready to pick up. Would certainly use this service again!

Stayed at this hotel before but it's now looking a little "tired" and could do with some talc to bring it back. The gardens need attention but the staff seem as if they want to help.

So easy to book and a fab price. All very smooth and uncomplicated. Hotel a little dated and no cash point/cash back so make sure you have cash for the transfer on the way to the airport

Great hotel with great rooms !... Great friendly staff at reception, helpful In every way. Only bad comment I can give is no air conditioning in rooms which is needed as the rooms do get warm, bathroom radiator is on all the time.

Did the super saver rate where you do not know where you are staying. Got the Copthorne Effingham Hotel again. This hotel is so tired and drab. Like something out of the eighties. Don't think it has been refurbished since then either. The carpets are grubby, bed squeaky. Thank goodness we were leaving very early morning as would not have wanted to spend anymore time in this room. I have booked with FHR again but actually chose the hotel.

I was recommended to try Bookfhr by a work colleague. I have been impressed and pleased with the experience I have had. Very competitive rates. I opted for the mystery package and was not disappointed. Excellent value for money and a lovely hotel. Service was excellent. The room itself was a little tired with the decor but you could not fault the cleanliness.

Hotel did the job but would not choose to stop again I also thought the shuttle bus was included in the price given the same options would just travel on the day and park.

Fantastic. Will definitely book again. Such a smooth transition from leaving my car safely, staying in a lovely hotel, great food & relaxing evening followed by such an easy early rise, breakfast & transport to Gatwick...10 minutes. Then the reassurance that I only had to call on my return, after customs & they were there to pick-up within 10 mins to return me to hotel & collect my car. Fab service 👌👌

The Hotel was clean and tidy , the staff were very helpful and pleasant, the rooms was very good and spacious. The only negative side was that the swimming pool that was advertised was not open and hadn't been open for a number of years.

Lovely staff with nice quick check in and could leave car at hotel without it being moved. Great value for money in the mystery deal

Very good value for money

There are two copthorne hotels - make sure their recommended taxi company know which one you're going to when you return from Gatwick (they won't bother to ask!!). Hotel was a bit tired and outdated but fine for one night. Staff very slow, and unhelpful when my taxi dropped me at the wrong hotel. They seemed to think it was mildly amusing but you'd think it must happen all the time?!

We stayed at the Copthorne Effingham and booked the hotel with parking for 3 weeks. Upon arrival we had a swift and pleasant check in and were shown to our room. The hotel is a little dated in parts but the rooms are cosy and comfortable - the only complaint being the pillows which are hard and uncomfortable! That, however, is the only complaint. We also booked the hotel for the day we returned to get a few hours sleep before the journey home. Again we were checked in by pleasant staff and had a lovely quiet room. No complaints whatsoever
