Gatwick Airport Hotels - The Sofitel

Compare our competitive deals on Gatwick Airport hotels with or without parking, when you book in advance with FHR. With over 30 years' experience, we have a great range of Gatwick hotels at exclusive prices.

Gatwick Airport Hotels with Parking

Book a hotel at or near Gatwick Airport through FHR and get holiday parking included in the price. Booking a Gatwick airport hotel with parking package can often work out to be less than the cost of airport parking on its own. Many hotels offer parking on site, however it is also possible to book a hotel with parking at Gatwick's Long Stay, or combine with a Meet and Greet service for even greater convenience.

Gatwick Airport Hotels South Terminal

If you're flying from Gatwick South Terminal, then a couple of options within walking distance are: Hilton London Gatwick South - connected via a covered walkway to the South Terminal and has free transfers to the North Terminal which only takes a couple of minutes. Facilities include a LivingWell Express Gym and various dining options. 3.5* Courtyard by Marriott Gatwick - this is walking distance to Gatwick South Terminal but alternatively there is a minibus. Facilities include a gym, WiFi (payable locally), Volare restaurant and Volare bar/lounge.

Gatwick Airport Hotels North Terminal

If you're flying from Gatwick North Terminal, there are a couple of hotels which are within a few minutes' walk: 4* Sofitel London Gatwick - connected to the North Terminal via a covered walkway. There are also free transfers to Gatwick South Terminal which take just 2 minutes. The Sofitel is great for food lovers, with a choice of four restaurants: La Terrace, La Brasserie, Urban Café and Oriental restaurant. 3* Hampton by Hilton - connected to the North Terminal. Has air conditioned guest rooms with free WiFi and prices include a hot breakfast. Facilities include a modern gym which is open 24 hours a day.

The Cheapest Gatwick Airport Hotels

It's worth noting that if a hotel is off-airport there may be a transfer cost payable in addition to the room price. Prices vary dependent on when you travel, however there are a few Gatwick hotels which offer cheap rates: 4* Copthorne Hotel Effingham is set in 40 acres of parkland. This hotel has great facilities including a 9-hole golf course, tennis and gym. Transfers to the airport take approximately 15 minutes and cost £4.50 per person. If you are purely looking for a cheap room close to the airport, the 3* Britannia Lodge Hotel and 3* Europa are 15 and 10 minutes (respectively) transfer by taxi costing approximately £9 each way.

The Best Gatwick Airport Hotels for Families

If you are travelling with your family, which hotel is the best will depend on your budget. If you have young children, staying on-airport at Gatwick means that they will get extra time in bed before you have to wake them. The Hilton London at South Terminal or Sofitel at the North Terminal would be great as they have a covered walkway to the airport terminals. However, if you are looking for a mid-budget hotel, the recently refurbished 4* Sandman Signature London Gatwick has all the facilities you would need with young children, including a swimming pool, in-room fridge and microwave, and free WiFi. Transfers to Gatwick Airport take approximately 8 minutes for a fixed fee of £8.50.

The Best Gatwick Airport Hotels for Couples

At FHR, we have a 4* Super Saver Rate which offers superb value with the only catch being that you are only told the hotel name once you have booked. However, if you want to play detective have a good read of the description and see if you can guess which hotel it will be! For a hotel that has all the facilities including a swimming pool, fitness suite, restaurant, bar combined with fantastic room amenities including a fridge, premium bedding, rain showers and free Wi-Fi, look no further than the 4* Sandman Signature London Gatwick. For those who want convenience and love a hot breakfast, then the Hampton by Hilton Gatwick North would be a good bet.

The Best Gatwick Airport Hotels for Business Travellers

For the business traveller we know that time is money, so the Gatwick hotels of choice would be the Sofitel London Gatwick at the North Terminal or the Hilton London Gatwick at the South Terminal as both are accessible by covered walkways from the terminals.

The hotel is okay for a night but the bed is uncomfortable and the decor a bit faded. The taxi transfer charge of £17.50 each way is very high too.

Lovely staff, clean room, not the comfiest bed but only in it for a few hours. Check in is slow as only one member of staff on reception every time ive stayed. Great music 😀

No complaints really about the hotel. Cheap and included parking fervour holiday. The only issue was that we booked including breakfast but as we had an early flight we couldn't have the breakfast (which we paid for). If we'd known this we could of saved the money and used it at the airport.

The car park was atrocious you needed Wellington boots to get through, it was chaotic with no organisation, people just dumped their cars anywhere. Hotel was OK but encountered very rude reception staff who refused to book our car in and threatened to fine using we left the car, fortunately FHR who were brilliant sorted this by contacting the hotel manager. Room smelled fusty and had cleaners knocking on our door before 9am. I would not use this hotel again.

Europa

The Europa is a Britannia Hotel, and like the others I've stayed in is a bit run down and unloved, but cheap. Parking is fine so it does offer a budget Hotel + Park option for Gatwick, although you need to factor in at least £35 return for taxi fares. I'd probably stay there again but not under any illusion that it'll be part of the holiday to look forward to

Arrived very late but was greeted with a smile (which was nice after a long day) 1st time I've had a room on the 1st floor, the room was the nicest I've stayed in at the hotel. I've stayed many times before. Clean, tidy, comfy bed and everything we needed for a nights stay after leaving the car while on holiday
