Durham Tees Valley Airport Information

Durham Tees Valley Airport is an international airport in County Durham, north-east England, about 10 miles south-west of Middlesbrough. It is one of the UK’s smaller airports, with flights to three destinations.

Like most UK airports, it was originally an RAF Station named Middleton St. George, home to many Canadian Squadrons. It became Teesside International Airport in the 1960s and was renamed Durham Tees Valley Airport in 2004.

Part of Peel Airports, who own Doncaster Sheffield and Liverpool John Lennon airports, there is continuing development for further services and an increase in the range of destinations served.

How to Get to Durham Tees Valley Airport

The airport is situated off the A67 and is within easy reach of the A1(M), A19, A66 corridors and is well signposted from all major routes (sometimes as Teesside Airport).

All passengers at Durham Tees Valley Airport are charged a passenger facility fee. The charges as at July 2017 are Adults £6 and Children (3-15 years of age) £2 with Infants going free. The Charge must be paid before you’re allowed into the departure lounge.

If you're feeling a little peckish at the Airport, then the Airport Café has its own seating area for customers and a menu that ranges from Paninis, sandwiches and muffins to tea, coffee, alcohol and soft drinks.
