Liz’s Lowdown: Malaga Airport Lounge
Airports abroad are not always as accommodating as those in the UK, but using an airport lounge can be a way to wait for your flight in comfort.
What are the benefits of using an overseas airport lounge?
Airport lounges are a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of busy airports. They are also a great option if you are returning from a trip abroad and the transfer timings mean you have a few hours to kill in a small airport with few facilities.
Use the lounge to relax or catch up on work while you wait for your flight. Take advantage of the complimentary services on offer. Services vary between lounges, but generally, include: alcoholic, soft and hot drinks and snacks; business facilities; WiFi; televisions; flight information; and daily newspapers and glossy magazines. Some lounges also offer extras such as spa treatments, at an additional cost.
Liz’s recent experience of Malaga Airport Lounge
Our very own General Manager, Liz, gives us her review of a recent visit to the Airport Lounge at Malaga.
The lounges will vary very much between countries, however I very much enjoyed my visit to the Malaga airport lounge a couple of weeks ago. Some people think a lounge is all about free food and drink, but really it is about a relaxing area to stay before your flight. The airport lounge at Malaga is spacious, bright, full of natural light, with plenty of comfortable seating and free WiFi.
You can help yourself to selected spirits, wines and beer; and coffee, tea and soft drinks are on offer too. Snacks here typically include olives, nuts, crisps, biscuits, fruit and pastries. Depending on the time of day, you may also have the option of slices of hot pizza or bread, pate and cheese, and similar tasty bites. I enjoyed my wait, with my glass (or two) of Cava, with my partner sipping on his Gin and Tonic, whilst we nibbled olives and pizza and watched the planes come and go through the large windows.
