Hand Luggage

All Thomas Cook passengers over the age of 2 are allowed 1 free hand luggage item weighing up to 6kg with a maximum size of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. In addition, customers can bring an umbrella, a small handbag or a laptop into the cabin. If you have an Economy PLUS Class or Premium Class ticket, your hand luggage can weigh a little more, to the maximum of 10kg.

Thomas Cook hold baggage allowances vary according to your flight destination, and are different for infants under 2 compared to everyone else.

Hold baggage is included in the ticket price for all flights, except for adults flying economy class to the Balearics, Balkans, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal Mainland, Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Malta and Gambia. Economy PLUS tickets to these destinations – for anyone over the age of 2 – have a hold baggage weight limit of 25kg.

If you are flying to the US, Canada or Puerto Rico, you are allowed up to 23kg for Economy Class, and 32kg Premium Class.

For infants under 2, there is a 10kg weight limit for all flights, with the exception of flights from Brazil which is 23kg.

Anyone over the age of 2 flying from Brazil will have a baggage allowance of 2X 32kg for both Economy and Premium Class tickets.

If you are flying to Asia, East Africa, Caribbean, Central America, Indian Ocean, South America and Southern Africa, the limits are 20kg for Economy Class ticket holders, and 25kg for Premium Class.
